Pesmel to supply a storage extension to Muovi-Heljanko
Muovi-Heljanko, a Finland based high-quality plastic products producer, has signed a contract with Pesmel to supply an extension for its automated plastic packaging containers warehouse. Muovi-Heljanko has been growing rapidly during the past decade, hence, the need for increasing the warehouse capacity by 10.000 pallet places. The extension to be delivered is not the first but the second one to the originally delivered storage in 2008. The system is scheduled to be up and running by the end of 2021.
The warehouse operates stacker cranes feeding pallets in and out of a high-bay racking. It has fully automated storing and dispatching functions enabling the customer to sell products straight from the stock with short delivery times. No personnel are required at dispatching as the customer loads are prepared automatically onto conveyors from where truck drivers load the pallets onto their vehicles. Bill of lading and other delivery documents will be printed automatically at the loading dock.
Automation is highly valued at Muovi-Heljanko. This can be clearly seen as all production lines as well as storing and dispatching facilities are automatically operated. As a result, customer service is first class with hygienic production and efficient deliveries.
