In April 2014, JSW Steel Limited, the second-largest steel manufacturer in India, launched their Cold Rolling Mill 2 (CRM 2) with a production capacity of 2.3 million tones per annum (MTPA) combined with global customer and supplier meet. Being India’s most modern Cold Rolling Mill, JSW has the capability to produce high-strength and advanced high-strength auto grade deep drawing steel, both in uncoated and coated (galvanized and galvannealed GI and GA) categories and with wider widths up to 1870 mm. The high-end steel is produced for the auto sector, tube mill, and home appliance sector.
Pesmel, as one of the CRM2 key suppliers, was honored to participate as special invitees at the inauguration celebration held in Karnataka. Pesmel had an important role of supplying a state-of-the-art automatic yard management system (YMS) to CRM 2 with automated high bay storage (ASRS) and a modern logistics and storage control system.
